Hi friends! Have you heard the news?

Tomorrow there will be a Mini Release over at My Favorite Things and they will bring back the Miss Tiina line!

The release will include some stamp sets, some dies, some stencils and some patterned paper too.

Set your alarm on Tuesday, 20th at 10am EDT.

I really love the graphic sentiments included in the MSTN I love you more stamp set, and I couldn't resist to make a simple card with one of those.

I firstly created the sky in the background, ink blending some Distress Oxides (Seedless Preserves, Spun Sugar, Mustard Seed, Barn Door) on an A2 Smooth White cardstock. I used the same Seedless Preserves to color the clouds, just a few touches with the brush. I then die cut the panel using the second largest Stitched Rectangle Set 1 die.

I white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of Heavyweight Translucent Vellum and I cut a vertical strip to glue to my background. I used some thin biadhesive to adhere it.

To complete the card, I used foam tape to attach my "sky" panel to a 5,5"x4,25" Smooth White cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by! I really hope you will like my inspiration. Be sure to check the MFT Blog for a chance to win a 25$ shopping spree!

Hi crafty friends!

We are 5 months away from Christmas BUT we all know that when it is Christmas time we always struggle to create cards in time! So, Jenn Shurkus created this "Get Craking on Christmas" challenge, a great way to create Christmas cards all over the year and use all the amazing Christmas stuff we have collected (and maybe never used) over the years.

Every third Thursday of the month, a group of cardmakers will inspire you with their Christmas cards and you can find all the details in Jenn's blog.

And this month, since there are lots of Christmas in July celebrations, there will be a little prize too! Read over till the end to discover it.

This is my monthly inspiration, that features Holiday Cheese stamp by Waffle Flower.

This stamp set is so funny, I've loved it since it came out but - as many of my Christmas stuff - I've never used it before. This was a perfect occasion!

I wanted to create a one layer scene, but I changed my mind during the process. Anyway, I did a bit of masking to stamp all the scene on the same layer. I used Judikins Masking Roll and I stamped everything using Memento Tuxedo Black on some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I then started coloring using copics (you can find all the colors used below). I white heat embossed the sentiment on the mouse's blackboard.

I wanted a really dark background, and here I realized a distress ink background should have fit perfectly. So I die cut all the image and started working on the background panel. I used the same cardstock and I ink blended using regular Distress Regular Inks (I really prefer those ones when it comes for dark scenes): I used Black Soot and Walnut Stain. I also wanted to add shining details on my panel, so I splattered a lot of Gansai Starry Watercolors, using different gold shades.

I used foam tape to attach the stamped image on the background and I trim it to 6"x4,75".

To complete the card, I framed the scene using some gold glitter paper.

I really hope you will like this!

And now, the surprise! Since it is Christmas in July, I want to send to one of my lucky European follower the stamp I used to create this card (it is gently used, but still works properly)! All you have to do is follow me on Instagram and comment below my post, here on the blog. On August 1st, I will choose one of you and send the stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi friends and welcome to another weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

Below you’ll find Sketch 550. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week’s sketch and be sure to link your project to the MFT blog for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher.

And here it is my inspiration, that features the Gill Friends stamp set.

I've recently seen an amazing underwater card by Rachel Alvarado and I absolutely loved her distress background combo. So, as soon as I saw the sketch, I wanted to make my own version.

I fisrtsly took a 3,5"x8,5" piece of Smooth White cardstock and I started ink blending the background with Distress Oxides; I used Blending Brushes as I wanted a softer look. I used Vintage Photo and Antique Linen for the sand hills, and Dusty Concord, Salty Ocean and Cracked Pistachio for the sea. To create the hills, I've used the Slimline Drifts and Hills. I then moved to the "sea" and I ink blended the three colors. When everything was done, I splattered some water, some white acrylic paint and also some of the same Distress Oxide ink: in this way I got some texture on the background.

I then stamped all the fishes on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I copic colored everything. I used many colors, as I wanted my scene to be really happy. I die cut all of them and I started arranging the fishes on my panel. Here I realized I wanted some more details on the background, so I stamped the solid groups of small fishes using the Gravel Grey Premium Dye Ink.

For the solid aquatic plants, I've used some MFT ink pads, such as Summer Splash, Maroccan Spice and Boysenberry.

I attached everything using foam tape and liquid glue to create different depths and I also heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of Black Licorice cardstock.

To complete the card, I matted it using a larger piece of Smooth White cardstock and I added some clear sparkly sequins.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it! Be sure to check the MFT blog to see all the other DT's creations.
