Hi friends and welcome back! Have you seen the recent Purple Onion Designs release? It is called A Happy Little Town and it was designed by Stacey Yacula. If you haven't seen it, you can check it here.

And here it is my new card, featuring Milton and the Ivy Country Cottage.

When I first saw this bear, I knew I wanted to make a Dad card. It is always difficult to find masculine stamps, especially for me, because I like cute critters. But I think Milton is just perfect for this!

I firstly stamped the bear and the Country Cottage on two different pieces of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored everything with copics (see below for the color combos). You may know it, but I really love how bright copics result on this paper.

I then took a different piece of 6,75"x4,25" Neenah paper and I ink blended the background using Distress Oxides in Dried Marygold and Spun Sugar. I could have used a regular A2 cardstock, the cottage is big enough, but I wouldn't have fit the sentiment above, so that's why I used a bigger piece. I also used some water to partially remove the ink and create a soft cloud effect.

When everything was prepared, I moved to my sentiment: the DAD letters were cut from a Hello Bluebird Oliver Alpha die, while the sentiment below is one of the newest released from Purple Onion Designs. I stamped it using Versafine Onyx Black, which is one of my favorite ink for sentiments.

To complete the card, I created a white frame and I adhered everything using foam tape.

I really hope you will like the result!

Hi friends and welcome back to my blog! Today I'd like to show you my latest Hello Bluebird card, featuring some of the recent released products. If you haven't seen it yet, you can check everything here.

This card features the newest Bloom and Grow stamp set, which is perfect for spring scenes.

You already know I love scenes! Those critters are absolutely the cutest ever.

I decided to pair them up with the previous released Fairy Garden stamp, which has some beautiful flower stamps inside. I think this set is a must have, I have used it for many many scenes.

I firstly stamped all my images using Memento Black ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored everything using copics (you will find the list below). I then die cut everything using coordinating dies and then moved to my background.

I took a piece of 4"x6.5" Neenah and did my ink blending, using Distress Oxides in Salvaged Patina and Squeezed Lemonade. I used a ray stencil to create the sunset effect and I used the lighter color at the centre. I then splattered some speckles using the Peacock Feather and some white acrilic paint.

When everything was ready, I arranged the critters on the scene and I adhered them using liquid glue and foam adhesive to create depth. I also stamped the sentiment at the centre.

To complete the card, I matted it using a piece of black cardstock and a bigger piece of purple cardstock.

I really hope you will like it!

Hi friends and welcome to another Weekly Sketch Challenge!

Below you’ll find Sketch 543. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week’s sketch and be sure to link your project to the MFT blog for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher.

And here it is my inspiration, that features the Mice Day to Celebrate stamp set.

When I first saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to create a scene inside the balloon using those mice. I then realized that the three sentiment's strips would have covered it all, that's how I had the idea to create a vellum window on an inside scene!

I firstly started with the coloring of the inside scene, which measure 4,25"x4,5". I stamped all the images using Memento Tuxedo Black and I did some masking to create a one layer scene. I started from the foreground, masked, and then moved to the back images. When I finished I colored everything with copics.

I then moved to the structure: I created a top fold A2 card, using some Neenah Solar White 80 lb and I aligned the largest of the Balloon STAX die on the front: I did some partial die cutting, to cut only the frontal panel (and not the back one). On a different piece of 4,25"x5,5" white cardstock, I repeated the process, trying to align the balloon as the front panel. I added the vellum behind the frontal panel and then glued the second piece of cardstock inside, to fit the vellum inside. In this way the vellum is hide between the two panel, as a sandwich.

On the front, I also added a strip of patterned paper from the Wallpaper Patterns.

I then heat embossed three times the Happy Birthday sentiment (which comes from the Bitty Bears stamp) on some colored cardstock: Poppin Pink, Butterscotch and Something Blue. I added them at the centre of the balloon.

To finish my card, I glued the scene on the inside of the card and I stamped another sentiment at the bottom, using some Versafine Onyx Black ink.

It might seem a bit difficult, but the card was really simple to create and the design could be used in so many ways!

I really hope you will like it and be sure to check the MFT blog to see all the other DT's creations.
