Happy Saturday friends! Can you believe we are halfway to the MFT June Release Day? It will be live on June 8th, at 10am EDT.

Today I am showcasing one of the background stamps, which was perfect to make a quite-CAS card (I'm not this could be defined clean and simple LOL).

I firstly stamped and white embossed the SY Scallop Stripe background stamp on a piece of watercolor paper. Yes, you read correctly, I went out of my comfort zone and I used a watercoloring medium. This was the first time trying the Karin Brushmarkers and I really love how bright are them! I chose a rainbow color palette, as I wanted a colorful and happy card. When you heat emboss a background like this, it is really easy to watercolor!

I then stamped the same background on a 4,25"x5,5" Smooth White cardstock, using a dark grey ink. I then fussy cut the rainbow piece and adhered it to the centre of my card.

To create the sentiment, I die cut the Sweet Hello dienamics twice from the white cardstock and once from the Black Licorice one. I glued everything leaving a little white to show. I also added a smaller strip below, with one of the sentiments of Bitty Hugs & Kisses.

I really hope you will like it and be sure to check the MFT blog for a chance to win a 75$ shopping spree! And for further DT inspirations too!

Are you ready for the new MFT June Release? There are 4 days until you can shop it. It will go live on June 8th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

Today the DT is highlighting three brand new stamp sets, all illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller, as well as a new Tri Frame Cover-Up die. And here it is Crafty Companions stamp!

If you love handmade - I am sure you do, as you are here at my blog! =) - this set is a must have! There are so many crafting critters, from sewn to paper craft, from quilting to painting...And they are really adorable!

To create my card, I started from the background panel. I took a piece of 4,25"x5,5" Smooth White cardstock (I've recently discovered it is perfect for ink blending) and I applied my Distress Oxides with blending brushes. I used Kitsch Flamingo, Salvaged Patina and Squeezed Lemonade and I mixed them up on my surface. As a softer "version" of the primary colors, I also got some pastel green, violet and orange areas. I also took Peackock Feathers, Picket Raspberry and Wild Honey to splatter some speckles on the previous ink blended area.

I then moved to my critters, that I stamped on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, using some copic friendly ink. I colored everything using the combos that you find below. Except for the critter fur, I tried to respect the same teal, pink and yellow combo. I then die cut everythig using coordinating dies.

I arranged everything on my A2 panel and I realized I wanted to add a Stitched Rectange Frame, which I die cut from Caribbean Sea Prestige Cardstock. I then attached everything using liquid glue and foam tape, to achieve some dimension.

To complete the card, I stamped the sentimen on the upper right side and I added some pink Love Speech Bubble hearts.

I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other inspirations and for a chance to win a 75$ shopping spree!

Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on June 8th at 10am EDT.

There are tons of new products, but today the Design Team is showcasing some stamps designed by a new illustrator...you might recognize them, they're Tiddly Inks stamps! Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the amazing DT creations!

And here it is my first card of the June Release, using the Flutterby Friends stamp set!

This is a quite simple card, with a design that could be reproduced with many other stamp sets.

I started stamping all the images I wanted in my scene on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored everything with Copic markers (see the combos below). When I was done, I die cut using coordinating dies.

I then moved to my background: I took a piece of 4,25"x5,5" MFT Smooth White Cardstock and I ink blended the background using Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick and Dried Marygold. I discovered that this cardstock works really well with ink blending! I then applied the Punched Pattern Stencil and put in some Seedless Preserves.

When everything was done, I die cut the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frame from some Amarena Cherry cardstock. I then realized that I wanted to add another frame, so I cut a 0,5" frame from an A2 piece of Smooth White Cardstock. I layered everything and I stamped the sentiment using a deep purple ink.

I really hope you will like the card and be sure to check the MFT blog to leave a comment, for a chance to win a 75$ shopping spree!
