Yeah! The June MFT&Friends Release is now live!

The newest release is really great and includes so many stamps, dies, and some new ink pad colors too!

There is also a free with 60$ purchase, which is Best Catch Ever stamp set, which is the one I feature in today's card.

This is a really simple card but I really love how it turned out. I firstly stamped the whale at the centre of my 3,75"x5,5" panel, using some black copic friendly ink. I used Neenah Solar White cardstock, as I wanted to do some ink blending and copic coloring. In the same moment, I also stamped many small fishes using grey ink. I masked the whale and I ink blended the background.

I've used Distress Oxides in Shaded Liliac, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. To create some texture, I also splattered some water and some chipped sapphire ink to create water bubbles. As a finishing touch, I used the Ray of Light Stencil with some White Pigment ink.

I then removed the mask and colored the whale using copic markers (see below for color combos). I tried to create a sort of reflection effect on the upper part of the whale, even if it isn't perfect, I think it is a good detail.

I also colored the fishes using cold grey tones: I only wanted to create a "shade" in the background, not to be super detailed.

When everything was done, I stamped the sentiment using some Versafine Onyx Black and I matted the scene using black and a piece of 4,25"x5,5" Smooth White Cardstock.

I really hope you will like my project and be sure to leave a comment telling me what are your favorite of the release! And check the MFT blog too, there is a blog hop and you can win a 100$ shopping spree!

Have you already prepared your wish list of the MFT June Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EST.

Today the DT is showcasing two new stamp sets, one background stamp and one background die.

In my card I feature the Beach Bear stamp set as well as the Thick and thin rubber background.

I know this should be a beach set, but as soon as I saw those bears, I instantly thought to the Disney animation movie "Brother Bear". And that was my inspiration to create the card.

I firstly stamped the bear using some Memento Black ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored everything with copics (see below for combos). I wanted to recreate a sort of mountain landscape, and I used a really yellowish combo for trees and grass. When I finished the background, I cut the scene to a 3,5"x4,75".

On a different piece of A2 Smooth White cardstock I stamped the new background stamp Thick and Thin using the Jalapeno Popper premium dye ink. I thought it was the perfect color for the palette I chose.

I then added a Smooth White frame using the second largest A2 Rectangle Frame die. I used foam tape to create some dimension.

To complete my card, I stamped the sentiment in the left upper part, where there was the sky.

I really hope you will like the result!

Are you ready? The MFT June Release is just around the corner! It will be live on June 8th at 10am EDT.

Today the DT is highlighting three three new stamps sets, called Swimming Hole friends, You keep me afloat and Best Catch ever, which will be a free with 60$ purchase.

Make sure to head over the MFT blog to see all the previews!

My card features the Swimming Hole stamp set, I think it is really really fun!

Look at those frogs! They are simply the funniest ever!!

As those critters really made me smile, I wanted to feature as many as I could in my scene. When I want to create scene cards, I usually search for inspiration on the internet. I looked so many swimming hole scenes and then I had the idea on how to build mine: I firstly stamped the two frogs, then masked the frog and stamped the hippo behind and the bear above.

With scenes like those, I usually start coloring from the background, because I want to be sure to be able to set the scene. I then colored all the critters (all the combos are written below the post).

The whole scene measure 4"x7" and I've stamped the sentiment below using Versafine in Onyx Black.

I then matted the card twice, firstly with a piece of white cardstock and then using a larger piece of Caribbean Sea Prestige Cardstock.

Hope you like the result!
