Purple Onion Designs | Happy Birthday!

Today I'd like to show you featuring Purple Onion Designs stamps (please read till the end for a big new for Europeans).

What I love the most about Purple Onion Design is that you can mix and match every single illustration, to always create different scenes. This flying bear is super adorable and he's flying by to say Happy Birthday!

This is a really simple card, because I firstly stamped the main image and the trio of balloons on some Neenah Solar White cardstock, and colored everything with copics (see below for color combos). I chose a really simple palette: yellow, red and blue. I then fussy cut everything and started working on the background.

I took a piece of 4,25"x4,25" cardstock and I applied some Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina, which is a beautiful turquoise light blue. I then added some white due cut clouds (from the Hello Bluebird Partly Cloud die) and I added the main protagonist using some foam tape.

For my sentiment I used one of the Carnival/Fair Blurbs, stamped with a dark red ink.

As a finishing touch I matted the scene twice, using black cardstock and a striped pattern, and I also added some sparkling sequins. Hope you like the result!

MFT Stamps | Vault - Release Day

The MFT Vault has just opened and it is full of Birdie Brown products! I know many of you were sad to read that the Birdie Brown line has discontinued, but I think we all were so excited to hear that the whole Birdie Brown line will be re-released during this one and the following valut releases too.

Today, 14 older sets landed on the shop and you can now get them!

I have a new card to show you, featuring the Birthday Bears stamp set.

I was looking on Pinterest and an illustration with a bear eating honey in the forsed popped out, so I decided to create my version, using the sitting bear of the stamp. How adorable is he?

I firstly stamped the bear and then I started building the scene atound, using pencil. I then colored everything with copics (see below for combos).

The whole scene measures 4,5"x6" and it took me a lot to be colored. But I think it was worth the wait!

As usual I started from the background and then moved to the main protagonist.

To complete the card, I matted the scene using some Black Licorice cardstock and I added a small sentiment on the left corner.

Just hope you'll like the result!

MFT Stamps | Vault Release Countdown - Day 1

Hi friends and welcome back to another June MFT Vault Release countdown! Can you believe we are only 1 day away from the Vault Release?

I know many of you were sad to read that the Birdie Brown line has discontinued, but I think we all were so excited to hear that the whole Birdie Brown line will be re-released during this one and the following valut releases too.

The Vault has opened and those are the sets that are featured in the DT creations today:

And that's my inspiration, featuring You're Super and Super Boy stamp sets.

I couldn't resist to those super heroes, and I was inspired to create a card that looked as a comic page. This card is really easy to make but I absolutely love how it turned out...I'm sure I will use the desing again, especially because my boyfriend loves super-heroes!

I started from a 5,5"x4,5" piece of Transotype Perfect Coloring paper and I drew with a pencil three vertical panels (each one measures 1,5"x3") and a horizontal one (which measures 0,75"x5").

I then stamped the super girl and the super boys, masking the part outside of my panels. I also stamped the city and the speech bubble. When everything was stamped, I also used a fineliner to frame my panel and I started coloring, using bright and bold colors (see below for the combos).

When everything was done, I stamped the sentiment at the centre and I matted the scene, using a larger piece of Black Licorice Cardstock. Hope you like the result!
