And now, let's move into my third and projects, that features many of the Card kit products.

When I saw Santa's head and Santa's body included in the stamp set, I had the idea to create a hanging Santa. So I stamped those two images, the two hands, a bunch of Christmas gifts and I started coloring using copics (you can find combos below). I die cut everything with coordinating dies and I started to arrange them: I now realized that something was not ok, there should have been a long beard coming out, so I hand drew it with a black fineliner and fussy cut it.

I then started working on my background panel: I took a piece of 4,25"x5,5" Smooth White cardstock and ink blended Distress Oxides. I used Twisted Citron, Rustic Wilderness and Black Soot and I kept blending until I wasn't happy with the result. I also decided to splatter some Gansai Tambi Starry Watercolors, I think they are a must have in your crafty stash, especially for Christmas cards.

I die cut the second largest Rectangle Frame from some Smooth White cardstock and I white heat embossed the sentiment (which comes from BB Greetings Galore) on a piece of Lemon Drop cardstock.

I arranged all my images on the panel and I realized that there was too much empty space inside the frame. So, I took out the Sweet Snowflakes dienamics and die cut them from Gold Sparkle cardstock. And I liked how it came out!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the inspiration! Let me know what do you think and be sure to head over to the MFT blog: there is a bloghope and you can win a 50$ shopping spree !

Hi crafty friends! Today it's the first day of the August MFT Card Kit, which is called STUFFED SANTA!

If you want to dip into Christmas mood, this kit is really for you! The STUFFED SANTA Card Kit includes:

  • Stuffed Santa Stamp Set

  • Stuffed Santa Die-namics

  • Up on the Rooftop Die-namics

  • Card Stock - Smooth White (5), Cement Gray (1), Gravel Gray (1), Black Licorice (1), Red Hot (1), Amarena Cherry (1), Sno Cone (1), Lazy Day (1)

There is also a free with $60 releasing with this kit which is Christmas String Lights Die-namics. It will be available August, 24th at 10am EDT.

And now, let's move into my second projects, that features the Free with 60$ Christmas String Lights Die-namics.

Well, I must say this design took me awhile, but I really love how the card turned out!

I firstly prepared the background panel: I took a piece of 3,5"x8,5" Smooth White cardstock and I ink blended with Distress Oxides in Shaded Liliac, Prize Ribbon and Black Soot, starting with the lighter color at the centre of my slimline panel. I kept blending until I wasn't happy with the smooth result. I then splattered some water drops and some Copic Opaque White to create some texture and let it aside to dry.

In the meanwhile, I started preparing all the die-cut pieces. I die cut six times the string of lights from some Silver Shine cardstock and I used the light bulbs die to cut all those tiny pieces from some colored cardstock (Lemon Drop, Snow Cone, Poppin Pink, Limelight and Cotton Candy).

When the panel was dry, I die cut it using the Slimline Starter die and I white heat embossed the giant sentiment which comes from Wishing You a Merry Christmas at the centre. With big sentiment like this one, you can have a better result if you double the heat embossing process, so the result is crispy and bold.

Now, I started gluing down all the tiny pieces: I first attached the six strings and then carefully glued the tiny bulbs. I then added a drop of Ranger Glossy Accent on each lights.

To complete the card, I simply added a 3,5"x8,5" piece of Smooth White cardstock to create a white frame around the colored panel.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the result! Let me know what do you think and be sure to head over to the MFT blog: there is a chance to win a 25$ shopping spree if you comment there!

And now, let's move into my first project!

I wanted to highlight the stamp set, I love the idea of Santa being late because he couldn't pass in the chimney. He must have snacked heavy during the lockdown LOL.

To create this no-line one layer coloring scene, I firstly stamped the chimney, Santa, the lights and the presents on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, using the Natural Hybrid ink pad from MFT. I have recently discovered this pad, it stamps beautifully and it can be used both with copic and water mediums. And it is perfect for no-line techniques.

I then started with the sky, so I created a mask using Judikins Masking roll and I ink blended Distress Oxides in Dusty Concord, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. When I was happy with the result, I removed the mask and I started coloring the images at the bottom (you can find all the colors listed below).

As usual, I also used some coordinated Polychromos Pencils to define edges and add details, especially on the chimney's brick.

I then die cut the scene using the largest of the Stitched Rectangle dies Set 1 and I white heat embossed the sentiment. I also added some small hans drawn stars using the Copic Opaque White Ink.

To complete the card, I matted it twice, starting from a slightly larger Smooth White cardstock and then moving to a 4,5"x5,75" Amarena Cherry cardstock.
