This is my inspiration, that features Happy Hedgehogs stamp set.

Those hedgehogs are my absolutely favorite!

I was inspired to create a one layer card, drawing a fall scene around them.

I firstly stamped the two hedgehogs on a piece of Transotype Perfect Coloring Paper using some Memento Rich Cocoa ink pad: I didn't want a no-line look but I wanted softer edges than black lines . I started from a 6"x4,5" piece of paper, I always love to start from a bigger piece of paper and then cut it.

I then drew all the background: I went for simple shapes as learned in the "Storybook Scenes" class by Sandy Allnock. I colored everything using copics, especially earth, red and yellow-red tones (you can find a complete list below). I really love fall colors! I didn't shade them so much, because I knew I would have added details and textures with both copics and pencils.

I added dots and lines to the bushes and ground until I wans't happy with the result and then cut the panel to a 5,5"x4,25" size.

I stamped the sentiment in the centre top portion, using Milk Chocolate premium dye ink.

As a finishing touch, I added a slightly larger piece of Milk Chocolate cardstock, in order to create a brown frame to my scene.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the final result!

Are you ready for another incredible day of previews?

This is the second of the three giant vaults that will bring the entire Birdie Brown line back to shop!

The Vault has opened and those are the sets (stamps and dies) that are featured in the DT creations today:

  • Fab-BOO-lous Friends

  • Witch Way Is the Candy

  • Frightfully Sweet

  • Fall Friends

Aren't you excited? The Vault will open on August, 17th at 10am EDT

This is my inspiration, that features Witch way is the candy cat.

I must admit I saw a similar inspiration on Pinterest and I could not resist to make my own version.

As I planned to create a one layer card and color both with Copics and Distress Oxides, I stamped the cat on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. I really think this cardstock gives you the best result with both techniques. Another trick I could suggest you is to start with larger pieces, especially when it comes to ink blend: this card originally was 5,5"x7".

I then drew the pumpkin with cat-eyes and I used a light board to copy the final result onto some Judikins Masking Paper. I hand cut the mask and positioned it on my image. When I have scenes like this one, I usually start with the background, so if I create a mess, I can restart without "loosing" time on copic coloring. I used Regular Distress Inks, they are my favorite if I want to reach dark colors. I applied Spiced Marmelade (the glow effect) from in to out and Wilted Violet and Black Soot from out to in. When I was happy with the blending, I splattered some Gansai Tambi Starry Watercolrs on my background.

I then removed the mask and started coloring the pumpkin and the cat, using Copic markers. I also added White Gel Pen details, to enhance the glowing effect.

When everything was finished, I die cut the panel using the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Set1 dies and I also white embossed the sentiment, which comes from Itty Bitty Boos.

To complete the card, I matted it using a 4,25"x5,5" Smooth White cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the final result!

Are you ready for another incredible Vault release? And I mean ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!

This is the second of the three giant vaults that will bring the entire Birdie Brown line back to shop!

The Vault has opened and those are the sets (stamps and dies) that are featured in the DT creations today:

  • Jingle All the Way

  • Cool Day

  • Beast Friends

  • Ready, Set, Snow

  • Merry Christmoose Die-namics

  • Icebergs Die-namics

Aren't you excited? The Vault will open on August, 17th at 10am EDT

This is my inspiration, that features Jingle all the way stamp set.

Since there are three different Santas on the stamp set and I couldn't decide what I wanted to use, I stamped them all and I realized that I could have used them as the "O" of a giant HoHoHo.

So, I firstly stamped the three images on a piece of Transotype Perfect Coloring paper, using an alcohol markers friendly ink and I colored evetything with copics (you can find combos below). I also die cut all of them using coordinating dies.

I then took the Impact Alphabet dienamics and I die cut 9 times the letter "H" from Smooth White cardstock: each letter on the panel is composed by three glued die cuts, in order to create some dimension.

I now moved to my background: I firstly took a piece of 9"x3,5" Smooth White cardstock and ink blended the sky using Distress Oxides. I used Salty Ocean, the newest Prize Ribbon and Black Soot. I then added some drops of water and some white acrylic paint, in order to create some texture. For the snow bank, I hand cut the hills: I also added some Prisma Sparkling glitters on the profile.

I was finally ready to assemble everything: I glued the letters down, I added foam tape to the Santas and the hill and I also stamped the "Jingle all the way" greeting at the centre of my panel.

As a finishing touch, I matted the whole scene using a black and white 9"x4" cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like my projects!
