Hi crafty friends! It's been a while since I published my last blog post, but today I'm back to show you my latest creation featuring some of the recent released Hello Bluebird stamps and dies. If you haven't already seen the Fall/Winter release, you can check it here.

For today's card I have used the adorable Winter Skate stamp set. I firstly stamped all the critters I wanted to feature in my card on a piece of Neenah Classic Crest paper, using some Memento Black ink. I then colored everything with copics (my combos are listed below). I then die cut everything with coordinating dies and I started working on the rest of the scene.

I firstly die cut 5 trees from the Slimline Skating Pond Scene die: I absolutely love them for scenes! I took the idea from Chris, another talented member of the HBB Design Team: I added some greens on the trees (just a little bit, they're full of white snow!) and I layered another dark grey die cut tree behind, just a little shifted, so there are some shadows.

I stamped the Falling Snow Background on a piece of light mint cardstock, using the Unicorn White ink from Hero Arts. I die cut a window using the largest Nesting Half Circle die. On a different piece of white cardstock, I softly ink blended a bit of Distress Oxide in Warm Lipstick using a blending brush and I die cut the pond using one of the Slimline Hill and Dale die. I layered all the pieces with foam tape and liquid glue in order to create some depth. I also stamped the big Merry word from Big Christmas Greetings using a Pink pigment ink, I clear heat embossed it and I die cut with coordinating dies. To complete the sentiment, I stamped the upper sentiment directly on the background panel.

To finish the card, I added some Ranger Stickles in Star Dust on the tree branches and some sparkling clear sequins in the background.

I really hope you will like my inspiration!

Hugs from Italy,

Hi BRI friends, Sara here!

I am back with a new card, inspired by the October BRI Mood Board Challenge.

This is the perfect Spooky palette that you can use for all your Halloween creations! We really don’t have a great Halloween celebration here in Italy, so I don’t have a lot of Halloween stamps or dies (even if I love them!). So I went through my crafty stash and I tried to look for a way to stretch them….and this is the result!

I had the idea to mask those two little bears from Pretty Pink Posh Bear Friends stamp set and transform them into a trick or treat guys! I firstly stamped them on a piece of copic friendly paper, using Memento Tuxedo black ink for the bigger one and Memento London Fog for the smallest. In this way, I reached the faded look of the ghost. I also drew all the accessories (hat, coat and ghost’s sheet) with a black fineliner. I also stamped all the pumpkins – which comes from the PPP Pumpkin Patch Critters stamp set - and the two bats of the background. I colored them all using copic markers and I fussy cut everything since I hadn’t coordinating dies.

I then moved to the background: I ink blended some distress oxides using blending brushes. I really love the look of them when I want to blend into “nothing”, as it happens here with the ground which is white. I used Twisted Citron and Chipped Sapphire, but I also added some Black Soot to darken the result. I really love how spooky the sky is!

I arranged my stamped images on the blended panel (which is 5.5”x3.75”) and I realized I wanted to add more. I die cut the PPP Spooky Fence from some black cardstock and I layered it behind. I also wanted to add some little ghosts, so I white heat embossed two of the Mama Elephant Little Boo Agenda on a piece of vellum to get the transparency of the ghost. To complete the card, I white heat embossed the sentiment too (which comes from the PPP Halloween Wreath stamp set), I added some sparkling crystal sequins and I matted the scene using a piece of scrap cardstock which had exactly the same colors of the BRImoodboard.

I love the final result, I really hope you will like too. See you next month!

Hugs from Italy!

Hi friends and welcome back to my blog!

Today I just want to share with you another card I made using some of the recent released Hello Bluebird items. If you haven't seen the new collection, you can check it here.

This card features the adorable Wilderness Adventure stamp set. Look at all those critters!

It is a really simple card to make! As soon as I saw this image, I thought to create a night time scene, and I wanted to feature a fire too. So I looked into my bluebird stash and I found the it into the Cozy Christmas Eve stamp set, which was perfect for what I had in mind.

I firstly created a circle mask using Judikins Masking Roll and I ink blended the background with Distress Inks in Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Mustard Seed where I would have put the fire. I then die cut the panel using the 4,25" Square Nesting die and white heat embossed the sentiment at the centre. I stamped the critters on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them with copics (see below for combos). I die cut them with coordinating dies and I arranged them on my scene. I added some white stars and some white gel pen dots.

To complete the card, I matted it using a dark blue cardstock and then a square piece of holographic paper.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like the final result!
