Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT August Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on August 16th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

Today I am highlighting the newest Greatest Blessing stamp set, which is full of fall themed images.

For today's card, I decided to create a clean and simple no coloring on kraft cardstock. So, I stamped the wheelbarrow full of pumpkins on some Neenah Desert Storm paper using a light brown copic friendly ink. I colored everything with Copics (you can find the full list below the post) but as it happens every time I want to do some no-line, I needed to define all the edges and add details. That's why I took out my Polychromos pencils and I added some depth, details and everything I hadn't reached with copics.

I also added some shadows under the wheelbarrow in order to "lay down" it. When everything was done, I white heat embossed the sentiment (I usually use some antistatic powder before doing it) and I cut the panel to 5,5" x 3 and 3/8. I wanted to have two white stripes on the upper and lower edge, but when I layered an A2 Smoothe White piece behind, I think it missed something. That's why I decided to randomly stamp some of the leaves included in the stamp set using the Prickly Pear and the Jalapeño Popper Premium Dye Ink Cubes (that matched my color palette). And here's the final result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on August 16th at 10am EDT.

Fall is one of my favorite season, maybe because it leads directly to Christmas! And this release is full of autumn themed products that I just cannot wait to share with you all the projects I've been working on!

So, let's dive in into my first project, that features the newest Happy Pumpkin Season stamp designed by Stacey Yacula.

I wanted to create a really simple design, with the scene in the upper part of the card and the sentiment under it. I firstly started with the ink background: I took an A2 piece of Smooth White Cardstock and I masked the bottom part; I then ink blended with Distress Oxides in Wild Honey, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon.

I then moved into the main images of the card: I stamped them into a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, using Memento Black ink. I colored them all with copics, you can find the full list below the post. I obviously went for a neutral and desaturated color palette, I wanted to achieve a sort of "fall look". When everything was colored, I die cut all the pieces with coordinating dies.

I finally started working on the sentiment, which comes from the main stamp set. At the beginning I thought I would have used the word YOU from the Stylish Thank You Die-namics, so I die cut all the letters twice and I glued them together. Then, while I was assembling, a little pumpkin fell near the word and I realized I could have used it as the letter O. That's why you find it there! I attaced all my images with a combination of glue and foam tape to create depth on my scene.

To complete the card, I cut a quarter of an inch on the left and I used a strip of Black and White Stripes Paper to complete my design. And that's all for today!

Hi friends and welcome back to another weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge!

Below you’ll find Sketch #606. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week’s sketch and be sure to link your project to the MFT blog for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher.

And here's my super simple inspiration, featuring the Heart Rays Die-namics.

As soon as I saw the sketch, I thought of a Clean and Simple card like this. I wanted to highlight the heart's stripes with different cardstock so I looked into my MFT Cardstock to find a combo that I like. And since I feel some "fall vibes" I went for an autumn palette, featuring some red, oranges and green.

I die cut all the different stripes from some scraps of the different colors (Amarena Cherry, Maroccan Spice, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Prickly Pear) and I assembled the heart at the bottom right corner of a rectangle panel cut from the second largest Stitched Rectangle STAX Set1. I matted that panel firstly with a slightly larger glittery silver cardstock and then with an A2 white cardstock.

To complete the card, I white heat embossed on some black cardstock the sentiment, which comes from the Bitty Hugs and Kisses stamp.

And here's a final look of my card, I really loved the simple design.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
