Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on October 11th at 10am EDT.

The release is full of Christmas products and I just can't wait to show you what I've been working on!

So, let's dive into my first project, that featues the newest Holiday Hello stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

I went out of my comfort zone and I did a box card. And I really enjoyed the process of making it!

I started stamping the images on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, using Memento Black ink. I colored everything with the copics listed below and I die cut everything using coordinating dies.

I then started creating the box, using the Outside the Box Low Profile and the back from Outside the Box Level Up. I die cut all the pieces from MFT Smooth White Cardstock, which is really thick and resistant. I also cut the snow drifts with the Outside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics.

I assembled everything creating the box. For my background, I ink blended the round panel using Distress Oxide in Warm Lipstick and I stamped the main sentiment at the top.

To complete the card in a box, I carefully added all the images and I also added some decodations using one of the newest sheets from Christmas Text Paper Pad.

And here's a finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Yay! The September MFT Release is now live and it is full of amazing products!

Today I have another Christmas card to show you, featuring some of the Miss Tiina products.

The MSTN Reindeer Love is really cute, I loved those critters so much that I couldn't resist to play with them. And I decided to pair them up with the MSTN Be Merry die.

As I said in some previous posts, the inspiration for the color palette came from the patterned paper, which belongs to the newest Joyful Plaid. I chose one of the patterns and I used it to chose all the colors of the Be Merry die. I went for Ripe Raspberry, Pickly Pear, Lemon Drop, Summer Splash and Cotton Candy, and I die cut each letter with a different color. I also die cut the whole sentiment from Wild Cherry Cardstock, and I used it as shadow.

I stamped the two reindeers on some Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored with the Copics listed below the post. I cut the two with coordinating dies too.

I arranged everything on the patterned paper and I reaized that the background was a bit "distracting", so I layered a piece of vellum behind.

As a finishing touch, I added some glitter Stickles on the reindeers' scarf and bow, and some Glossy Accent on their noses. And here's the finished look!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Have you already prepared your shopping list for the MFT September Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EDT.

Today I have a rainbow nspiration for you, featuring the newest Number Fun - 6 designed by Rachelle Anne Miller.

I love Rachelle's number line, it is really great for children's birthdays. At the beginning I thought I would have created a nighttime scene, with a full moon behind the number six. But then I changed my mind and I thought that a rainbow background would have been better. What's better than rainbows?

I firstly stamped the image on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock #110: I chose the heavier version because it is my favorite for ink blending. I then stamped another time on a piece of Judikins Masking Paper and I carefully fussy cut it to create a mask. I covered the main image and I started to ink blend.

I've used Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmelade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Moved Lawn, Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord. It took a bit to ink blend everything but I think it was worth the effort. I then splattered the panel using some water and some Copic Opaque White too.

When everything was dry (in the meanwhile I colored the images of another card I was doing!) I removed the mask and I colored the main image with the Copics listed below.

I cut the panel using the second largest A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX die and I moved to the sentiment. My idea was to stamp directly on the background, under the branch. I used a stamping platform but the result was awful: some letters were big, some thin, it was too "splotchy". That's something that happens...so I stamped again on a white piece of cardstock and I used it to cover the "mistake".

To complete the card, I matted my scene with an A2 Smooth White cardstock. And here's a finished look!
