Yeah! The August MFT&Friends Release is now live!

The newest release is really great and includes so many stamps, dies, and new ink pad colors too!

In today's card, I feature the Pile of Fun stamp set as well as the newest Little Leaves background stamp.

I really love this little girl and her dog friends!

I firstly stamped all the images on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, using some copic friendly ink. I usually use the Memento, I love that ink because it doesn't stain my stamps.

I then colored all the images, using warm and fall colors: I went for a desaturated teal, red and orange, but you can find all the combos below.

I then die cut all the images using coordinating dies and I started working on my background and the composition of the card. I stamped the Little Leaves background on a piece of Smooth Solar White cardstock, using Butterscotch Premium Dye Ink pad. I also die cut the second largest A2 Rectangle Frame, but I realized I wanted to layer another slightly larger piece of cardstock. As I didn't have the "perfect" color, I took the same Smooth White paper and I colored it using copic R56, in order to perfectly match the color palette; I then cut it with my trimming machine.

I did the same process for the sentiment strip, this time using copic BG72. I then started to glue down all the pieces and here's the finished project!

Thanks for stopping by! I really hope you will like my project and be sure to leave a comment telling me what are your favorite of the release. And check the MFT blog too, there is a blog hop and you can win a 100$ shopping spree!

Have you already prepared your shopping list for the MFT August Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EST.

Today the DT is highlighting two new stamp sets designed by Rachelle Anne Miller, ad well as the Hanging Happy Birthday Sign dienamics, which can be used for box cards too.

I firslty stamped the two critters from You Cake my Day set as well as some gifts and the balloon from Celebrating You on a piece of Transotype Perfect Coloring paper, which is perfect for alcohol markers. I then colored them all using copics (colors are listed below) and I used coordinating dies to die cut them. When I have "simple" cards like this one, I try to choose a color palette in advance, in order to coordinate die cut pieced to colored ones. Here I chose violet, teal and blue.

I wanted to feature the Hanging Happy Birthday Sign in my card too, so I die cut the shadow die from a piece of white cardstock and all the small letters from Summer Splash, Something Blue and Grape Jelly. I mixed all of them and glued them to the shadow piece.

I now realized a slimline format would have fit better with my desings, so I took a piece of 3,5"x8,5" Smooth White Cardstock and I added some brick details using the newest Slimline English Brick Wall stencil. I then cut that panel using the second largest die from the Slimline Double Stitched Rectangle. I also used the same die to cut a piece of Gravel Gray cardstock, to create the ground in my scene.

I added everything to my panel and I also stamped the longer sentiment in the centre.

As a finishing touch, I added some stars using coordinating Premium Dye Inks, I added some clear sparkling sequins and I matted the whole scene using the same Something Blue Prestige Cardstock.

I really hope you will like the result.

Hi crafty friends and welcome back!

As you may know, Purple Onion Designs is celebrating their 18th birthday and today it's the last day of their Anniversary Sale. If you want to save 25% on all rubber stamps, this is the perfect moment to shop! (Click here for their website)

I also have another great inspiration for you, featuring many rubber stamps designed by Stacey Yacula.

I love those illustrations so much!

I firstly stamped all the critters and the basket on a piece of Transotype Perfect Coloring paper and then I took another piece and stamped the cloth. I then colored everything using Copics (you can find all my combos below). When everything was ready, I fussy cut them and started to arrange critters on my scene.

I had an A2 card sized in my mind, but here I realized I would have preferred a round one, it fits better with my scene. I usually color my backgrounds on bigger pieces of paper, so if I change my mind, I don't have to re-do them. So, I die cut the background panel, which has only the cloth and some grass, using a Stitched Circle die. I started working on my sentiment, which comes from a Lawn Fawn Crazy Antics stamp set and I decided to cut the "PICNIC" letters from a small letters die to customize a bit the font.

To complete the card, I took a different piece of white paper and I stamped the All Lined Up Diagonally background from MFT using red ink: this was perfect for my scene, because it reminds the tablecloth pattern. I die cut the panel using a larger circular die.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like my inspiration!
