Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT February Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on February 8th at 10am EST and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

So, let's jump into today's project!

This set is really adorable, there are so many beautiful images but I wanted to make something a little bit different. Since the dragon seems to be kissing someone, I thought it could have been fun to mirror it and create a Valentine's card. So I firstly stamped the left dragon and I used the stamping tool to create the right one, using the Mirror Image clear stamp. That's a solid "plate" stamp, that you can use alone or with the support of your stamping platform, to create the mirror of any image.

I colored both of them and I die cut using coordinating dies. Of course you won't have the coordinating dies of the mirrored image, but you can align it from the back side of the paper.

I then moved to the background, which I created using Distress Oxides. I put the heart from Heart Extraordinaire stencil at the centre of a 3,75"x5,5" white cardstock and I began to ink blend from light to dark. I used Dried Marygold, Worn Lipstick and Dusty Concord, and then I layered the Lots of Hearts stencil to create some texture (using the same colors for a tone on tone look).

I also stamped the sentiments which comes from Itty Bitty Love in the centre of the heart, I white heat embossed the central strip.

To complete the card, I added a slightly larger piece of black cardstock and I matted the whole scene using a 4,25"x5,5" white cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on February 8th at 10am EST.

There are tons of new products and I cannot wait to share with you all the projects I've been working on!

So, let's dive in into my first project, that features the newest Barnyard Birthday stamp set.

Look how many funny barnyard critters! To create the card, I was inspired by one of the sentiment included in the stamp set and I decided to customize it, using the cow's head as the letter "o" of the word moo. I also chose a country palette: black, white, kraft and red.

I firstly stamped the cow on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, and I colored it using copics (you can find them listed at the end of the post). I also wanted to create a faux-speckled effect and I used the Perfect Pool Water stencil: it really looks like a speckled cow (you can see it at the top-right! I used Distress Oxides in Hickory Smoke and Black Soot and I splattered some black drops to create some texture too. I used that background to die cut the letters M and O from the Spell Anything Alphabet dienamics, which I matted with some black cardstock.

I white heat embossed the sentiment on some Red Hot cardstock and I die a piece of 3,5"x4,75" Kraft Cardstock using the Cool Curves Cover-Up. I also die cut the second largest A2 Rectangle Frames from white cardstock to frame the whole scene. The grass comes from the Mini Slimline Outside the Box Grassy Hills dies.

To give the perfect "country look", I stamped the All Lined Up Diagonally using Red Hot Premium Ink on a piece of 4,25"x5,5" white cardstock.

I layered everything together and I also added some clear sparkling sequins to complete the card.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Hi crafty friends! The MFT January Card Kit, called CELEBRATE EVERYTHING is now LIVE in the MFT Shop!

Birthday cards are the most used, because we always need a great stash ready to send to crafty friends! Also, it's my birthday month and I had a blast creating with the kit!

The CELEBRATE EVERYTHING Card Kit includes:

  • Celebrate Everything Stamp Set

  • Balloon Builder Die-namics

  • Celebrate with Cake Die-namics

  • Time to Celebrate Paper Pad

  • Card Stock - Smooth White (2), Moroccan Spice (1), Candied Yam (1), Lemon Drop (1), Prickly Pear (1), Caribbean Sea (1), Tropical Teal (1), Kraft (1), Milk Chocolate (1)

The following product will be available as a separate purchase:

  • Perfect Present Die-namics

There is also a free with $60 releasing with this kit which is Itty Bitty Celebrations Stamp Set.

And this is my second project using the release's products!

A while ago I did a similar festive card using a patterned striped paper and a Christmas Elf. I really loved the design and as soon as I saw this paper I thought to CASE (copy and selectively edit) my previous card.

I really love the newest Celebrate Everything sentiment stamps, I love when sentiments have different fonts. And as I read the one I included in the card I couldn't not feature one of the Festive Old Friends protagonists. I stamped him and I also stamped a bunch of birthday banners from Mice Day to Celebrate on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, using Memento Black ink.

I colored everything with copics (I choose the same colors of the cardstock, in order to perfectly match my images - you can find the whole list below) and I die cut them using coordinating dies.

I then took a piece of vellum and I stamped the sentiment using Archival Black Ink: I heated it, in order to fasten the drying process, and when I was sure it was completely dry I white heat embossed with a small shifting (so you can see just a little halo behind).

I then die cut the patterned paper using the largest Stitched Rectangle STAX Set2, I added the vellum strip (it is 3,25" wide) and I glued all the stamped pieces.

To complete the card, I matted the panel using a 4,25"x5,5" piece of Smooth White cardstock.

And that's all for today!
