Have you already prepared your shopping list for the MFT March Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EST.

Today I have a simple card to show you, featuring the newest You Make My Heart Race stamp set.

This card was really simple to make, but when I read the sentiment, I came up with the idea to use hearts as the fuel.

I firstly ink blended the background using Distress Oxide in Dried Marygold. When I want to fade out to white as I did here, I usually use the blending brushes, they give the perfectly soft touch to blend into nothing. I then splattered some white acrylic paint and some Kitsch Flamingo drops, in order to make some texture. The panel measures 5,5"x4".

While waiting for the background to dry, I stamped the main image on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Black ink, since I wanted to color with copics. I colored everything (you can find the combos listed below the post) and I die cut it using coordinating dies.

I also die cut a few of the Love Speech Bubble die-namics from some Poppin' Pink cardstock and I started assembling the card.

I originally thought to use only hearts, but when I layered them on the ink blended background, I didn't like the result. It was too much...so I left some hearts and I used some clear sparkling sequins to fill the "heart smoke" and I liked it! I used glue and foam tape to attach everything, I also stamped the sentiment in the upper-left part. On my desk, there were also some speech bubbles left (I used only hearts) and I used one for the girl.

As a finishing touch, I matted the scene using a piece of vertical Black and White Striped paper pad.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Are you ready for the MFT March Release? There are only 2 days until the release, which will be live on Tuesday 8th, at 10am EST.

Today I am highlighting the newest You're Ext-ROAR-dinary stamp.

I loved that little guy with eyeglasses! Isn't it so funny!

You may know I love "playing" with alphabet dies and sentiments, and I couldn't resist to use this dino head as the letter O!

I stamped him and I colored with bold copic colors (you can find the full list below the post). I then took a piece of white paper and I repeatedly stamped all the other dinos of the stamp set, using some Premium Die pads: Cotton Candy, Orange Zest, Limelight and Summer Splash. I was inspired by the newest Pretty in Plaid patterned paper to chose my palette, since I planned to use that paper to matt the whole panel. I then colored all the dinos as a solid image (I discover that MFT Inks don't bleed with copics!).

I then cut the custom background panel with one of the A2 Rectangle Stitched STAX dienamics and I die cut the R, A, R letters with some coordinating solid cardstocks. I also layered a black die cut behind to create a shadow. To complete the sentiment, I white heat embossed it on two strips of black cardstock too.

As a finishing touch, I added the pattened paper behind and I used some Glossy Accents on the dino's eyeglasses!

Happy Saturday friends! Can you believe we are halfway to the MFT March Release Day? It will go live on March 8th at 10am EST and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

So, let's jump into today's project that features two of the newest stamp sets!

I love the newest Repeating Rainbows Background and since I saw it, I knew I would have used it to create a custom colored background. It took a bit, but I love how it turned out.

I firstly stamped the background with a grey ink on a piece of 5"x5" white paper. I used a stamping tool (and I didn't remove the stamp...you will understand why it is so important) and then I colored all of them using copics. I was inspired by a card from Grace Camou, she used this different rainbow combo and I loved her card! When I finished everything, I realized I didn't like the grey line....so I white heat embossed all the rainbows again using the stamping tool!

I then stamped the big rainbow from RAM Over the Rainbow stamp set and I colored using the same colors of the background, this time with a little shading. I also colored a few stars to add to my scene and I die cut everything with coordinating dies.

When I layered everything on the background panel (which I cut to 4,5"x4,5") I realized that it was too much confusing, so I decided to put a piece of vellum between the images and the background. I heat embossed the sentiment with black powder on the bottom part of the vellum and I layered a strip of white paper behind.

As a finishing touch I added some shiny accents with a glitter pen on the biggest rainbow (they're so difficult to catch in photo, but the real card is sooo glittery!).

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
