Yay! The April MFT Release is now live!

The newest release is full of new products, it is really great and includes so many incredible products!

Today's project features the newest Winged Wonders stamp set.

I went for a different desing from my usual ones, I did a CAS and I absolutely loved how the card turned out.

I firslty arranged all the butterflies in a diagonal way on an A2 piece of cardstock and I stamped them using a stamping platform. You may notice there are no black lines, I used a no-line ink pad because I wanted to do some solid coloring.

I then carefully colored all the small parts with only 4 Copics: no shading at all, but I added a lot of details using coordinating Polychromos Pencils and a White Gelly Roll pen. It took me a lot of time (with no-line coloring you need to be super careful not to "loose" the stamped image behind) but it was absolutely worth it.

When the butterflies were finished, I cut the panel using the largest A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-Namics and I matted it with an A2 Smooth White Cardstock: I really love the stitched details on this CAS card. I also white heat embossed on of the sentiments of the stamp on some Black Licorice Cardstock and I attached it at the centre.

To finish my card, I glued down some black embellishments.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Have you already prepared your shopping list for the MFT April Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EDT.

Today I have a happy and colorful card to show you, featuring the newest Sweet Senorita stamp, illustrated by Tiddly Inks.

As soon as I saw this sweet girl, I instantly thought of a colorful card which makes me soo happy.

I firstly started with the bsckground, where I used the already released Stitched Tall Triangles STAX Die-Namics. I wanted a triangle background, I hadn't already separed all the dies and so I cut apart the second smaller triangle with the smallest attached inside. I die cut many pieces from some MFT Prestige Card Stock: Poppin' Pink, Wild Cherry, Lemon Drop, Summer Splash and Boysenberry. I started working on a background pattern: at the beginning I thought I would have created only one "stripe" of colored triangles but then I added the second and I loved it. I glued all the pieces down and I moved to the main protagonist.

I stamped the girl on a piece of Neenah White Cardstock and I colored her with Copics. I added some smaller triangles on her hat, to repeat the background pattern. You can find the full Copic list below the post: I tried to use colors coordinated to the cardstocks I've already glued down.

I then stamped the sentiment on a piece of 7/8"x5,5" white cardstock, I layered it at the centre of my panel and I attached the Senorita on the top of it. I also added some Black Glaze on her eyes, I love this small detail on cards!

Are you ready for the MFT April Release? There are only 2 days until the release, which will be live on Tuesday 12th, at 10am EDT.

Today I am highlighting the newest Special Spot in my Heart which was designed by Rachelle Anne Miller.

I love this illustration, it is perfect for baby's cards as well as the upcoming Mother's Day.

I firstly stamped the two images on a piece of Neenah Smooth Solar White cardstock using some Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored all with Copics (you can find them listed below the post) and I die cut them using coordinating dies.

I then moved into my background panel, where I did a partial ink blending using Distress Oxide Inks. I used Evergreen Bough and Antique Linen: I haven't used those colors for a while but I love the soft "desaturated" look they give, especially for this "giraffe's background". I then splattered some Copic Opaque White acrylic paint and some Evergreen Bough to create some texture on the panel and I let this dry.

While I was waiting, I die cut the MOM word from the In Stitches Alphabet die-namics three times and I glued them together to create dimensions.

I then cut the background panel using the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle SET 2 die and I glued everything down. I also stamped the sentiment from Special Spot in my Heart below the MOM.

To complete the card, I matted the scene using an A2 piece of Smooth White cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
