MFT Stamps | July Release Countdown - Day 3

Happy Saturday friends! Can you believe we are halfway to the MFT July Release Day? It will go live on July 12th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

So, let's jump into today's project that features the newest DBD Stitched Wildflowers Die-namics as well as the freebie of this month, which is called Sweet 16.

I had soo much fun creating this card and I absolutely love how it turned out!

I wanted to play with Distress Inks, using them with a watercoloring effect. I firstly die cut all the flowers from 5 different panels of watercoloring paper. Since I didn't know what I would have used, I colored more than I needed here. I only knew I would have wanted a transition from aqua to blue, violet, pink and peach, so I've tried to create some shades on flowers using for example a touch of violet on the two closer colors and so on.

I let everything dry and I cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2, I arranged the flowers and I glued everything down. I also added some white foliage around the flowers.

I stamped on of the sentimenti included in the Sweet 16 Stamp (which will be a freebie with a 60$ purchase) and I added some black dots with a fineliner. I also matted the panel with an A2 white cardstock too and I added two ftrips of the Black and White Stripes Paper Pad. To complete the card, I added some sparkling sequins at the centre of all the flowers, they give the perfect touch!

MFT Stamps | July Release Countdown - Day 4

Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT July Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on July 12th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

Today the DT is highlighting an assortment of friendly farm animals, I'm sure you will love them! I decided to use the newest Happy Birthday Herd illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

You may recognize this design, since I decided to CASE (copy and selectively edit) one of my previous card. But since I loved how it turned out, I just wanted to use this stamp in the same way.

I obviously changed the color palette, I wanted a super festive scene! I went for red, yellow and blue, with a lime background.

I firstly stamped the four images on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Black ink. I then colored everything with copics, you can find the full list below. This took a little bit of time, Stacey's illustrations are always so detailed but I had so much fun and relax in coloring them all.

I then cut the panel to a 5,125"x5,125" (in order to have a similar white border around the images) and I matted the scene using one of the patterned sheets from Happy Patterns Paper Pad. I was not sure if I preferred the blue or the red version, but then I preferred the blue one. The final card is 5,5"x5,5".

To complete the card, I white heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of Fire Coral Cardstock.

This is a really simple design, the coloring is the thing that took the most, but it was completely worth it!

MFT Stamps | July Release Countdown - Day 5

Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on July 12th at 10am EDT.

There are so many new products that I just cannot wait to share with you all the projects I've been working on!

So, let's dive in into my first project, that features the newest Eat Lots of Cake Stamp designed by Yan Au as well as the newest Frosted Alphabet and Frosted Numbers Die-namics.

I wanted to create a simple design, so I played with all the stamps and when I found the arrangement I liked, I stamped the images on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored all with copics (you can find the full list below in the blogpost). I then die--cut them using coordinating dies.

At the beginning I wasn't sure about the sentiment, but then I realized that above the sweet elephant and his cake, there was enough space to create the HB2U script, and the newest Frosted Alphabet and Numbers Die-namics were the perfect addition. So I die cut the letters and the number, as well as all the frostings, and I colored them to match the same color palette. I tried to create the same texture and depth I had on the cake.

I then moved into assembling all my pieces on a card. I took an A2 piece of green patterned paper from the Happy Patterns Paper Pad and I die cut a white frame using two rectangles from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics. I layered a piece of vellum behind the frame to soften the background and I used some foam tape to add all the things. I also white heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of Tropical Teal card stock and I added it below the elephant.

To complete the design, I added some Glossy Accent on the frosted customized sentiment, I really love this touch!
