Yay! The July MFT Release is now live!

It's MFT 16th birthday! The new release is packed with celebratory images, sentiments, and dies perfect for recognizing everyone on your card list. You'll also love the assortment of friendly farm animals and gorgeous florals from a new designer to the MFT family.

Today I have a rainbow graphic desing, using the newest Wish Big Die-namics.

The main idea of the card came from the BIRTHDAY word, which was perfectly spaced to have one candle over each letter. And what's better than rainbow candles?

I started die cutting the back panel using the second largest A2 Rectangle Stitched STAX Set 1 and I stamped the birthday sentiment with black ink.

I die cut all the candles, one for each color of Prestige Cardstock (Poppin Pink, Orange Zest, Lemon Drop, Limelight, Tropical Teal, Summer Splash, Something Blue and Boysenberry). This design could be mass produced, since you can die cut 5 candles each time. I also cut 8 flames from Chantilly Cream. I arranged all the candles over the letters but I wanted to have different heights, so I trim some of them with the guillotine.

I glued them down and I added all the flames too. I die cut three times the "Happy" from Happy Birthday Script Die-namics and glued them together to create some depth.

To complete the card, I matted the panel I created with a slightly larger Silver Sparkle Cardstock and an A2 white panel with two rainbow strips. I also added Glossy Accents on flames and some white gel pen details on the "happy" word.

Have you already prepared your shopping list for the MFT July Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EDT.

Today I have another birthday card with the newest Pure Innocence stamp set, which is called Happy Birthday to the Sweetest Girl.

Isn't that girl soo cute? I stamped her on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored her using a blue, red and light blue combination of colors. I also added some white gel pen dots on her dress, I tried to copy one of the dress I had a few years ago that I really loved a lot. I finally cut everything with coordinating dies.

I moved into the background, which I kept really simple. I took the newest Balloon Party Stencil, I love how versatile it is and how you can fastly create a matching background. I used three Dye Ink Cubes: Lazy Day, Blue Beyond and Fire Coral. I also stamped the sentiment from the Inside & Out Birthday Greetings Stamp on the bottom right part of the panel, because I planned to put the girl on the left.

To complete the card, I matted my scene using the blue dotted background from MSTN Stars and Stripes Paper Pad.

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Are you ready for the MFT July Release? There are only 2 days until the release, which will be live on Tuesday 12th, at 10am EDT.

Today I am highlighting the newest Miss Tiina set that is called MSTN Sweet Treats as well as the newest Happy Happy Birthday Stamp.

As soon as I saw those treats, I knew I would have done something very very festive! And what's better than rainbow treats?

I firstly stamped all the sweets on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, since I planned to color with Copics. I then decided my color palette and I wanted to have only 5 shades, because I wanted to match every single letter of the word HAPPY. I looked into my Dye Ink Cube Collection and I choose those colors: Orange Zest, Poppin' Pink, Grape Jelly, Summer Splash and Limelight. Using some coordinating shades, I colored all the sweets (you can find a full list below) and I die cut them using coordinating dies.

I then moved into the background panel, which I die cut using the largest A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2. I slowly stamped every single letter with a different color of the Ink Cubes listed before. If you have a stamping platform, this step isn't difficult at all but you need to partially mask the letters around the one that you want to stamp in order to avoid some mess. I completed the sentiment by stamping the "birthday" word and the small phrase from the MSTN Sweet Treats.

To complete the card, I added some white gel pen on treats and I matted using an A2 White panel with two small strips of a rainbow patterned paper (which comes from the MSTN Rainbow Love Paper Pad). I am so happy of how this card turned out!
