Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on May 9th at 10am EST.

And now, let's dive into my first card!

You may know I love creating scenes and when I saw all those Patio Plants I couldn't resist to create a garden scene.

I did lots of die cutting to cut all the tiny pieces from different cardstocks: I used some from MFT (Jalapeno, Prickly Pear, Sour Apple, Lemon Drop, Tropical Teal and Milk Chocolate) and some scraps I had in my stash. I also a wooden textured paper from Tim Holtz to cut out the fence (which comes from the previous released Heartfelt Fence Die-namics). Then, I started assembling all the pieces to create the plants.

While I was working on all of this, I realized that the sitting girl from Nobody Nose Me Like You Do would have been the perfect addition of the card, so I stamped and colored her with the Copics listed below the post.

I then started assembling the scene: I lightly ink blended an A2 white panel with the Sour Apple ink, I trimmed it down with the second largest panel from A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics and I glued down everything. I also stamped the sentiment included in the Outdoor Oasis Sentiments with the Ripe Raspberry ink. To complete te card, I matted it with a slighly larger pink cardstock and then another piece of A2 cardstock. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Yay! The April MFT Release is now live and it is full of amazing products!

Today I have a funny card to show you, if you love critters and plants I'm sure you won't resist!

I absolutely loved those Potted Pets Dienamics, and instead of using them for three different plants, I decided to stack them up for a funnier look.

I firstly die cut all the pieces to create the koala (light grey cardstock and MFT Eiffel Tower for the nose), the cat (MFT Kraft Card Stock) the bunny (MFT Chantilly Cream), and all the small pieces from Black Licorice Cardstock. I used a lightly darker Copic to shade the two edges of each pot (W3-W1, E43 - E42, E53 - E30) and I also added a touch of RV34 - R20 for the blush.

I then assembled all the faces and I die cut the plant from MFT Sour Apple Card Stock, which I shaded with G94 - G43. I also die cut three flowers from a peachy rose cardstock I had in my stash. The centre of the flower is made from a half sphere.

I originally planned to have a CAS white background, but then I realized I could have used the solid leaves from Fresh Foliage to create a custom pattern. I took three different light inks from my collection (a bright green, a creamy yellow and sage leaf) and I stamped different foliage here and there. For the sentiment, I firstly white heat embossed one of those included in the Grow Together and splitted into three lines, but then I preferred to use two lines in white and only the central one in black. I also trimmed the background panel a 0.25" on the left in order to matt it with the diagonal black and white paper. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Have you already prepared your shopping list for the MFT April Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EDT.

Today I have a movie themed card to show you, featuring some of the newest products.

I don't know how I came up with this inspiration, but I must say I loved all those Movie Icons Die-namics. I firstly die cut all the pieces from colored cardstock (Red Hot, Black Soot, Smooth White, Eiffel Tower, Chantilly Cream) and I assembled all the pieces. For the glasses, I used a dark silver mirroring cardstock. I also added some shades on the Coke Cup, on the 3D glasses and on the pop corn bowl, just a few touches to give dimension. And I colored the red stripes of the pop corn bowl instead of attaching the die cut ones. Then I started to position them on an A2 chipboard panel (yes, I use chipboard panels of different card dimensions to set up my scene before creating the card) and I realized that one of the sentiments included in the Movie Night stamp was perfect to fit in a "ciak" tool.

So, I white heat embossed it on an Eiffel Tower piece of cardstock, I darkened the edges with black and I attached some strips of the Black & White Stripes Paper Pad to create it.

For the background, I initially thought I could have used a red paper, but then I changed idea and I took a piece of Cornflower Card Stock and I used the Radiating Rays Stencil to create the darker tone on tone rays. I trimmed it down to 4"x5,25" and I matted it with an A2 Smooth White Cardstock. I also added all the movie icons over the panel. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
