MFT Stamps | April Release Countdown - Day 1

Have you already prepared your shopping list for the MFT April Release? It's the final countdown day and the release will go live tomorrow, at 10am EDT.

Today I have a movie themed card to show you, featuring some of the newest products.

I don't know how I came up with this inspiration, but I must say I loved all those Movie Icons Die-namics. I firstly die cut all the pieces from colored cardstock (Red Hot, Black Soot, Smooth White, Eiffel Tower, Chantilly Cream) and I assembled all the pieces. For the glasses, I used a dark silver mirroring cardstock. I also added some shades on the Coke Cup, on the 3D glasses and on the pop corn bowl, just a few touches to give dimension. And I colored the red stripes of the pop corn bowl instead of attaching the die cut ones. Then I started to position them on an A2 chipboard panel (yes, I use chipboard panels of different card dimensions to set up my scene before creating the card) and I realized that one of the sentiments included in the Movie Night stamp was perfect to fit in a "ciak" tool.

So, I white heat embossed it on an Eiffel Tower piece of cardstock, I darkened the edges with black and I attached some strips of the Black & White Stripes Paper Pad to create it.

For the background, I initially thought I could have used a red paper, but then I changed idea and I took a piece of Cornflower Card Stock and I used the Radiating Rays Stencil to create the darker tone on tone rays. I trimmed it down to 4"x5,25" and I matted it with an A2 Smooth White Cardstock. I also added all the movie icons over the panel. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
