Happy Easter everyone!

Are you ready for the MFT April Release? There are only 2 days until the release, which will be live on Tuesday 11th, at 10am EDT.

Today I have an "art-inspired" design to show you, featuring the newest Cherry Blossoms Die-namics.

Why did I say this was an "art-inspired" card? Because as soon as I saw the Cherry Blossoms Die-namics I instantly though of this painting from Vincent Van Gogh.

I really don't know why I thought of this, but I was sure I would have created an inspired card.

I firstly started from the background: I took a piece of watercolor paper and I attached it to a board because I wanted to use much water and I didn't want the panel to wrap. I fixed with tape and I started doing the wet on wet technique with Distress Reinkers in Peacock Feathers, Speckled Egg and just a little bit of Mermaid Lagoon. I inked it up and let it dry, then I added a second layer to get a stronger color. I also die cut the rectangle panel using the second largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics.

I then die cut all the branches from two different shades of brown, and the flowers with Chantilly Cream Cardstock and a peachy one I found into my stash. I glued them together (with the darkest one behind) and I created the composition over the panel. I also added a small dot at the centre using Copic YR00.

To complete the card, I white heat embossed one of the sentiments included in the Word Bouquet on some black cardstock and I added it in the bottom right side. I then matted everything with an A2 white cardstock. And that's all for today!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Happy Saturday friends! Can you believe we are halfway to the MFT April Release Day? It will go live on April 11th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you all the cards I created with the release products.

And here's today's flower card!

This is an almost die cut card, featuring the new released Flowers & Filler Die-namics. I looked into my colored cardstock stash, which includes a lot of paper from different companies and I selected some "neutral" pink and red, creamy and white. I started diecutting all the pieces of the flowers with different colors, in order to choose the combination I liked the most. I also die cut some of the foliage included in the die set using two different shades of green cardstock (on is from MFT Sour Apple).

I then glued all the pieces together - some flowers have 3 layers - and I also added a soft ink blending at the centre of some flowers, to create some depth. I started assembling the composition over the open envelope from the Flower Foundations Die-namics. When I reach out a composition I liked, I stamped one of the sentiment included in the Word Bouquet stamp set, splitting it into two different lines.

The original idea was to use a deep blue cardstock as the background, but I didn't like the result. So I changed my idea and I took a warm grey 4"x4" one, which I matted with a 4,5"x4,5" white one.

And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT April Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on April 11th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

Today I am featuring the In My Prayers stamp set designed by YUZU.

I decided to create a simple scene using those two children praying in front of the bed. So, I stamped them on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored them up with the Copics listed below the post. As I mentioned many times before today, I searched into my patterned paper stash and I chose the Feelin' Festive Paper Pad as the reference for the color palette to use. I then cut all the images using coordinating dies.

I took a piece of 4"x5,5" Smooth White Cardstock and I stamped the bed at the centre, using the Cement Grey ink. I also die cut the "blessing" word with the newest Twice Blessed Die-namics from some Feelin' Festive patterned paper and I completed the sentiment stamping directly on the cardstock. I attached the colored images in the bottom part of my scene and as a finishing touch I layered an A2 panel from the same paper pad that shows on a 0.25" strip on the left. And here's the finished look!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
