Are you ready for the MFT May Release? There are only 2 days until the release, which will be live on Tuesday 9th, at 10am EDT.

Today I have a teacher themed card to show you!

This is a really clean and simple card, perfect to mass produce to thanks all the teachers at the end of the school year. I had the idea to create a blackboard shaker with an embossed sentiment over it. And that's what I did. I firstly cut the "hole" from an A2 white cardstock using the “Dry Erase” Whiteboard Die-namics and I white heat embossed one of the sentiment included in the Teach, Sleep, Repeat stamp over a heat resistant acetate piece. I attached the acetate behind the white panel and I took another A2 white panel to layer behind. I attached a piece of Black Licorice cardstock behind the hole: to create a sort of "chalk" look, I dabbed some white pigment ink over the cardstock and I let it dry. I also added a few colored sequins before "closing" the shaker and creating the card shaker panel.

To complete the card, I stamped the small "thank you" below the blackboard and I stamped and colored the tiny girl from the previous released stamp YUZU School Is Cool. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Happy Saturday friends! Can you believe we are halfway to the MFT May Release Day? It will go live on May 9th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you all the cards I created with the release products.

And here's today's card!

I just loved those illustrations, that come on an 6"x8" stamp set. I decided to create a simple card, firslty ink blending an A2 white panel with Warm Lipstick and Dried Marygold: I used some blending brushes since I wanted a really soft look. I then stamped the greenery on the background using some Memento Rich Cocoa Ink and I covered the "flowers" with some Copic Opaque White.

I then stamped the bird house and the two birds on a piece of Neenah, using Memento Espresso Truffle and I colored with the Copics listed below. I die cut everything with coordinating dies.

I then cut the background panel with the largest A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 1 Die-namics and I die cut the word HOME with the Essential Alphabet Die-namics: I used a dark brown wooden textured cardstock, and I really love how it came out. I also stamped the rest of the sentiment below that big word. To complete the card, I also added some Ranger Stickles on the flowers and a few clay hearts over the house, just to underline the love of the two birds.

And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT May Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on May 9th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

Today I am featuring the Little Rascal stamp set designed by YUZU.

Aren't those raccoons the cutest one? I just loved them at first sight!!

I decided to create an almost clean and simple look, pairing them up with the previous released Tall Hello Dienamics.

I firstly decided how to arrange the card: I usually take an A2 Chipboard panel and "play" with dies and clear stamps, I put them in different positions until I am happy with the arrangement. When I finish this process, I exactly know what I have to stamp and where they will be put.

I stamped the three raccons on some Neenah Solar White cardstock and I colored them up with the Copics listed below the post. I decided to start with neutral greys, but then I switched to warm ones to have a warmer look.

I die cut them with coordinating dies and then moved into the giant sentiment. I wanted a pop of color since the raccons are all grey: I went for a rainbow look die cutting each letter from a different color: Ripe Raspberry, Orange zest, Limelight, Tropical Teal, Blue Yonder. I cut them twice and glued them together to have some depth.

I then arranged everything on an A2 Smooth White panel and stamped the sentiment on the right side of the hello.

Here I stopped and I realized I didn't like the result: I wanted something else (I have always said I am not a clean and simple girl LOL).

So I trimmed down a bit the upper and lower profile and I used some pieces of the Black & White Stripes Paper Pad on another A2 white cardstock to add some interest at the edges. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
