This month, there are also some other dies that perfectly match with the kit that are available separately:

  • In-Focus Florals Die-namics

  • Slimline Skinny Strips Die-namics

  • Itty Bitty Strips Die-namics

And now, let's move to mu first project, that features some of the newest products.

I really like the newest Slimline Stitched Circle Trio, I think it is a must have for those like me who love slimlines. You can easily create three holes, three spots for three scenes. Here I wanted to cut the two holes at the side but I didn't want to cut the central one, as I planned to put the giant Hey. I firstly die cut the slimline panel from a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and then I did some partial die-cutting, starting from one side and then moving to the other. I then cut a piece of 3,5"x8,5" Neenah Solar White cardstock and I ink blended the area behind the kraft panel using Distress Oxides in Broken China and Cracked Pistachio. I also splattered some acrylic paint to add interest to the blending.

I then die cut the In-Focus Florals die-namics from some white cardstock and some vellum. With dies like those, I really suggest you to use a metal adapter plate, to easily cut all the smallest details. I layered the vellum and the white ones in the two holes and I started working on the sentiment. I firslt cut the Hey script twice, one in white and one with Tropical Teal prestige cardstock and I used glue tube to add them to my panel. At the end I stamped and die cut the long sentiment from Friends Like you. I really hope you will like the result!

Hi BRI friends, Sara here!

I am back with a new card, inspired by the May BRI Mood Board Challenge.

I’ve felt in love with this color palette since I saw it and this is my inspiration!

I’ve used a bunch of Mama Elephant products and I really love how it turned out. Those dinos are simply the cutest! I havent’ had the chance to play with “Me and my dinosaur” and the “Little dino agenda” since now, so I thought it could have been the perfect occasion.

This time I didn’t want to make a one layer card, so I stamped all the dinos on a piece of copic friendly paper and I hand drew the background on an 3,75”x5,5” panel of the same cardstock.

I used the mood board of the month, including linen, teal, fuchsia and coral, and I tried to use lighter colors for the background. When I finished to color the dinos, I fussy cut them (well, if you have coordinating dies it is surely faster!) and arranged them on my scene. I realized that they didn’t pop against the background which was a bit confusing, so I decided to put a layer of vellum to mute the background. And I loved the result! The background looks more “illustrated” and it is perfect for my protagonists!

You may know I really love to customize sentiments, and that’s what I’ve done here too: I die cut all the letters from a small alphabet die and I colored them using the same ones I used for the scene (this could be a great tip if you haven’t the matching cardstock). To attach them, I used some glue dots: when I have to glue something on vellum I usually prefer to avoid liquid glue. The “Hope your birthday is” comes from the “Rawrsome” Lawn Fawn stamp set, and it was what I need to complete the sentiment. I also added a small speech bubble from the Mama Elephant “Let’s chat” creative cuts, while rawr is included in the Dinos Agenda.

To finish the card, I added a piece of 4,25”x5,5” black cardstock.

I really love how it turned out, there’s something in this card that reminds me of my childhood cartoons, so I hope you will like too!!

Hugs from Italy!

Hi friends and welcome back! Have you seen the newest Purple Onion Designs collection? It is called "A Happy Little Place" and it was illustrated by Stacey Yacula. There are only a few hours to get the great bundle offer on their webside, including all the collection and the sentiment set. Click here to see the collection!

Today's card features the newest Flower Shop, as well this cute raccoon, which is perfect for many occasions. I firstly stamped my background scene on a piece of 5,25"x5,25" Neenah Solar White cardstock, while I used another piece of scrap paper for all the elements to put in front of the shop. I colored everything using copic markers and trying to be lighter with the bachground.

I then fussy cut the two critters and all the smaller elements and arranged them to my scene. I didn't like the result, there was something that didn't convince me. That's why I cut a piece of 5"x5" liliac cardstock with a hole in the centre, and I added a piece of vellum to mute the background. I think that now the card is really balanced, so I assembled it, using foam tape.

I also added a strip of white cardstock right at the centre to stamp the sentiment, which comes for the newest "Around the Town sentiment set". I used a purple Versacolor ink to stamp it, to coodinate with my scene.

I really hope you will like it!
