Hi friends! Have you already shopped the October Release?

Today the MFT Design Team is showcasing some of the newest products, which are already available for purchase! And today, I have a clean and simple card to show you.

I wanted to feature the moose with christmas balls and christmas lights in my design, so I stamped it directly on an A2 piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, coming out from the bottom left side of my horizontal card. Since I colored with Copics, I stamped him with Memento black ink. The colors I used are listed below the post, around all the lights I created a small halo with a light coordinating marker. I then used the previous released Vanity License Plate Alphabet to create the FALALA script, which was made letter by letter since I wanted different colors for each one (Red Hot, Summer Splash, Ripe Raspberry, Lemon Drop, Sour Apple). I then completed the sentiment with one of those included in the Merry Moose stamp set. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Hugs from Italy,

Hi friends! Have you already shopped the October Release?

Today the MFT Design Team is showcasing some of the newest products, which are already available for purchase!

And now, let's dive into today's project, that features one of the two stamps set designed by Jenoblade and called Gno Ho Ho! But before that I have an important thing to share. This month, 10% of retail sales of the Gno Ho Ho stamp set & Die-namics (which I feature in my card) will be donated to Give Kids the World.

Give Kids The World Village is an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida, that provides week-long, cost-free wish vacations to critically ill children and their families from around the world.

So here's my project!

This is a really simple design but I loved how it turned out. I had the idea to create a sort of background panel using the Christmas lights die included in the JB Gnome Home Die-namics, so I started die cutting all of the pieces I needed. The string was cut from sparkly silver cardstock, while I used some colored cardstock to cut all the smaller lights bulbs. I then took a piece of dark grey cardstock (2,25"x5,5") and I carefully glued down everything. I then stamped the gnome with lights and I colored him with the copics listed below the post.

I die cut him with coordinating dies but since I didn't like the white edge (and fussy cutting all those lights WASN'T an option), I tried different Copics until I found the one that matched best with my background cardstock; I colored that border with the coordinating color. I attached it with foam tape.

To complete the design, I white heat embossed the sentiment below the gnome, I added the panel onto an A2 white cardstock and I added glossy on all the light bulbs. And here's the finished design!

Hi friends! The October Release is now live and it is full of amazing Christmas themed products!

So, let's jump into today's project!

For today's card, I was inspired by Laura Bassen cards: she often used strips of colored paper in a CAS style, which I tried to reproduce in this project. I firstly selected a bungh of colors that worked really well for a Christmas project and I cut many strips of different measures. Then I assembled them on some tape and I die cut the JOY word using the die from the release. I wanted that script be the main focus of the card, but I couldn't resist adding the cute hedgehog from SY Christmas Characters stamp. For the background, I decided to use a light warm grey color, but I also added some interest with the Tiled Stars Stencil and some white pigment ink. To complete the card, I trimmed down the upper and the lower edge (about 0.25" each) and I stamped one of the sentiment included in the SY Christmas Characters stamp. And here's the finished result!
