Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT November Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on November 8th at 10am EST and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

Today I am highlighting the newest Playful Penguins stamp set designed by Yan Au.

I absolutely loved them at first sight! Look how cool they are!

The inspiration from the card came from one of the sentiments included in the set, which says "to the coolest friend ever". I instantly thought I had a Stay Cool die-namics that I could feature in the card too. And then the idea came up!

This card is what I call "graphical" card, there isn't any scene but there are some elements that coordinates in color. I firstly decided the 4 colors I wanted to use to create the "COOL" word, I went for Amarena Cherry, Ripe Raspberry, Cotton Candy and Lemon Drop. I cut each of the four letters with a different colors, I also layered a black shadow behind.

I then stamped and colored 4 penguins (you can find the full list of copics below) using cordinating colors for their sweaters. And when they were finished, I cut them with coordinating dies.

I then moved into my background, which I wanted too keep almost white and simple. I used the newest Herringbone Stencil with a white textured paste, in order to create some white on white interest. I let the background dry a few hours and then I started to assemble the card.

I created a sort of "focal point" in the bottom right part of the card, using the die cut sentiment and the one included in the stamp set (which I white heat embossed on some Gravel Grey cardstock. I then put all the penguins around.

To complete the card, I added a few black gemstones here and there, and I also added a strip of Black & White Stripes patterned paper. And that's all for today, here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on November 8th at 10am EDT.

The release is full of incredible wintery products and I just can't wait to show you what I've been working on!

So, let's dive into my first project, that featues the newest Coolest Friends stamp, as well as the Snowflake Flurry Background and the Stackable Snowflakes Die-namics.

I absolutely loved those critters as soon as I saw them. I wanted to create a sort of Clean and Simple card, but I know I am more the "add something else" girl LOL.

I firstly stamped the couple of friends using a light grey ink, since I planned to do some no-line coloring. I colored using the copics listed below and then I added some details using Polychromos pencils. I usually do that in order to get more depth. I then die cut it using coordinating dies. I also stamped on of the sentiments included in the set on the wood panel.

I stamped and white heat embossed the newest Snowflake Flurry Background on some light grey cardstock (which measures 3,75"x5"). I then die cut two of the Stackable Snowflakes Die-namics to layer behind the couple of friends. I also added some clear sparkling sequins.

To complete the card, I matted the snowflake panel using a slightly larger Butterscotch cardstock and then with an A2 white cardstock. And here's a finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

But now, let's dive into the second project I made!

I couldn't resist to create a really simple card using that completed house from Right at Home Die-namics. As usual, the hardest thing was to choose the color combo: I really spend lot of time thinking about how to combine colors, in every single card. And I love when I come out wit a new one like this!

The background comes from Lazy Day, the roof and window frames from Blue Beyond, the house from Tropical Teal and the "inside" of the windows from Chantilly Cream. The green, instead, comes from another brand cardstock.

I carefully die cut every single piece and I assembled the house: I also did some brick texture on the house front using Copic BG57. I added some shadows and some snow on the trees too, I really think it helps to give some dimension. The Christmas lights are cut from gold sparkly cardstock, as well as the garland bow.

When I was ready to attach the house to my background, I ink blended some white pigment ink behind the house (in order to get a halo) and I white heat embossed the sentiment from Home for the Holidays in the bottom part. To complete the card, I matted the 3,75"x3,75" light blue panel using a 4,25"x4,25" white one. And here's a finished look.

And that's all for today!
