Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT September Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on September 13rd at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!
Today I am highlighting the newest Christmas SweetHeart stamp set, which belongs to the Pure Innocence line.
I kept the design really simple, I wanted the girl to pop and be the "protagonist" of my scene. I firslty started ink blending the background, using Distress Oxides on a piece of Smooth White Cardstock. I used blending brushes, which are my favorite to blend oxides: I ink blended Black Soot, Prize Ribbon and Blueprint Sketch. I then splattered some water and some Copic Opaque White to get all the snow in the background and I let aside to dry.
I stamped the little girl on a piece of Neenah Solar White and I colored her using copics (you can find the full list below). I cut her with coordinating dies and I moved into the sentiment.
I wanted to create the "Merry Christmas" word and I mixed two big sentiments die to get it: Sending Christmas Joy Die-namics and Very Merry and Bright Die-namics. I cut each letter twice and I stacked them together to have some depth. I then carefully glued them down. I also white heat embossed the "HoHoHo" script on a piece of Wild Cherry Cardstock and I arranged it under the big die-cut sentiment.
As a finishing touch, I trim down the panel to 3,75"x5,5" and I layered it on a piece of A2 Silver Cardstock.
And here's a finished look!
Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
