Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?
It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on March 8th at 10am EST.
There are tons of new products and I cannot wait to share with you all the projects I've been working on!
So, let's dive in into my first project, that features the newest YUZU Island Shell-ebration stamp set. You may have noticed there is a new "abbreviation" before the stamp name, and this means there is a new designer!! And...this designer is the DT member Yan! That's what we need to SHELL-ELBRATE!
This was a quite simple card to made, but I love how happy and colorful it turned out!
I firstly stamped the island at the centre of a 4,5"x4,5" Neenah Solar White cardstock, masking the bottom part since I wanted to draw a wave. I then took one of the A2 Circle STAX Die and I created a custom masking "hole" using Judikins Masking Roll. I also stamped the same island on the masking paper, because I needed to do some ink blending with Distress. I used blending brushes with Squeezed Lemon and Kitsch Flamingo, firstly with a light hand and then applying the same colors with the Ray of Light Stencil.
I then removed all the masking and started coloring the island and the wave. I also stamped all the smaller critters and the objects for my scene, which I die cut using coordinating dies.
To complete the card, I white heat embossed the sentiment and I matted the panel using a 5"x5" piece of one of the newest Pretty in Plaid Paper patterns.
Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.
