But now, let's dive into my first project!
I love patterned paper, but I am always afraid to use it because I don't want it to finish. I know, I am a bit crazy LOL =)
But when I saw this stripey pattern, I fell in love with its bright and bold colors and I couldn't resist to create something with it! I thought that pairing some rainbow birds would have been fun.
So, I die cut a bunch of them from some white cardstock and I tried to understand how to display them. I came out with a wreath idea, and since there are 7 colors in the pattern, I used 21, which is a multiple. I slowly colored them all using the same combination of the paper and following the same order. Just a little blending with three colors each (listed below) to achieve some depth.
And then, it came the funniest part...to asselble them all! I used liquid glue, I die cut all the beaks from some Eiffel Tower cardstock and I glued those ones too. I must say there are also the eyes dies, both white and black circles, but I drew them using a white Posca Pen and a Black Sakura Glaze Pen (to create some shine).
When I layered them all on my patterned paper I realized this one was "too bold" and my little birds got lost: and here's a trick! I layered a smaller piece of Vellum to create a muted look which was perfect.
I also white heat embossed the sentiment on a small black strip at the centre and I matted the scene with a white cardstock. The final dimension of the card is 5,75"x5,75".
And that's all for today!
