Hi friends! Are you ready for the new MFT June Release? There are 4 days left until you can shop it! It will go live on June 13th at 10am EDT and I just cannot wait to show you what I've been working on!

Today I have a clean and simple shaker card featuring the little images included in the Being a Grandparent is the best set designed by YUZU.

I had the idea to create a great shaker with all the small flowers and leaves included in the Being a Grandparent is the best set, inspired by the queen of shaker Carly Tee. If you haven't seen her creations, I suggest you to do, her IG nickname is @carlyteeminner.

I stamped and colored a lot of small flowrs and leaves using the combo listed below the post and I die cut them using coordinating dies.

I carefully arranged the Impact Alphabet Die-namics on a 3,75"x5" panel from the newest Sand, Surf, & Sky Paper Pad and i die cut the word ALOHA. I initially thought I would have left the back word white, but when I tried to align to an A2 white one, I didn't like the result. So I inked the central part of the white A2 panel with Distress Oxide Tea-Dye and I splattered some Vintage Timber and some Copic opaque white to get the texture. In this way the word seems to be dug in the sand. I added some foam tape, all the shaker pieces and some sparkling sequins too and I assembled the card. And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Are you ready for a new MFT Release Countdown?

It's that time of the month again and today it is the first day of previews. The release will be live on June 13th at 10am EST and it is full of sea themed products and much more!

And now, let's literally dive into my first card!

I absolutely loved the Oceans of Fun stamp set as soon as I got my hands on. And I instantly thought of a recent design from Samantha Mann that I would have loved to take as my inspiration.

I firstly started inking an A2 panel with Distress Oxides in Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet. I used blending brushes until I got a good result, then I splattered some water, some Copic Opaque White and some Salty Ocean drops to get just a bit of texture.

While the panel was aside to dry, I stamped all the underwater critters I wanted to feature in the card on some Neenah Smooth Solar White cardstock, using Memento. I then colored them wit the copics listed below the post and I die cut them using coordinating dies.

I took another A2 Smooth White Panel and I die cut the edge using the wavy border die included in the Island Paradise Die-namics: I thought that the wavy look was perfect!

I also decided to use one of the sentiment included in the stamp set, but I wanted to customize the word "OCEAN": I die cut those letters from the Bitty Banner Alphabet and I white heat embossed the rest on some black cardstock. I assembled all the pieces: I attached the white panel over the distressed one, I adhered the critters and the sentiment. To complete the card, I added some sparkling sequins too! And here's the finished result!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

But now, let's dive into today's project, which is super colorful!

Since I can't stitch, I was inspired to create a "faux-stitched" look, by hand drawing the "stitching lines". I firstly prepared the colored pieces with the ink smooshing technique: I used Distress Ink Reinkers in Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feather and Wilted Violet. I let them dry and then I cut them up with the flowers included in the Floral Adornments Die-namics and the Framing Foliage Die-namics and I carefully drew all the lines with a fineliner. I then arranged them on an A2 white panel and glued them down, being careful to leave some white space in the bottom right corner (for the sentiment).

I stamped the big bold sentiment included in the Happy Everything Stamp in black and I matted the whole scene with a slightly larger black cardstock.

And here's the finished result!

And that's all for today!
