Hi friends! Have you already shopped the July Release?

Today the MFT Design Team is showcasing some of the newest products, which are already available for purchase! And now, I have a super yummy card to show you!

Here I've combined the Time to Make the Donuts Die-namics with the A Dozen Reasons to Smile stamp set.

I wanted to create a birthday card and I started choosing the sentiment from the stamp set.

I also decided that I would have created a "diagonal" arrangement of donuts.

I die cut all the pieces from different colored cardstock, including MFT Cotton Candy and Milk Chocolate, and then assembled them. I also added some simple shadings on both donuts and glossy, as well as some sprinkles details with Copic RV55 and E49.

I tried to arrange them as I wanted but I didn't like the look at all: so I decided to hand cut some of the donuts to have an "eaten look". And that was perfect! I also added some crumbs here and there to get the impression of a yummy donut.

To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment with two different colors (pink and brown) and I added some Glossy on the icings. And here's the finished look!

Thanks for stopping by, I really hope you will like it. Be sure to check out the MFT blog to see all the other product previews and for even more ideas and inspiration, please visit the My Favorite Things YouTube channel.

Hi friends! Have you already shopped the July Release?

Today the MFT Design Team is showcasing some of the newest products, which are already available for purchase! And today, I have a feline card to show you, featurng the newest Feline Fun stamp designed by YUZU.

If you love kitties like me, I'm sure you won't resist this set! Look how adorable are all of those little cats!

I created a simple graphical card, with a big word and some of the cats playing around.

I firstly started stamping and coloring the four kitties with the copics listed below the post, and then die cutting them with coordinating dies.

For the background, I did some simple ink blending with Distress Oxides in Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Antique Linen, starting from the bottom border and covering the bottom half of the A2 panel.

In the meanwhile, I also die cut the MEOW word twice from white cardstock and once from Gravel Grey one, to create a small offset shading; I used the Impact Alphabet Die-namics.

I assembled averything on the panel, adding the orange dotted cat partially behind the letter M. I also completed the message of the card by stamping the sentiment strip below the meow.

And then, I decided to matt the A2 panel with a slightly larger grey cardstock and a 4,5"x5,75" white panel.

And today, I have another birthday themed card to show you.

This may be my favorite card of the release, I don't know why but I absolutely love the final look.

When I first saw the Plane and Simple products, I had the idea to add "someone" on the plane, so I look into new products to get the perfect aviator: that fox from the Cotton Candy Critters was perfect, but it wasn't looking into the right direction because you get a left facing plane from the die cutting. So, I decided to "reverse" all the dies and have the plane going to the right direction.

I die cut all the piecing from colored cardstock, I turn them and I used a teflon bold folder to smoothen the "back die cut lines". I also added just a bit of shades to get a bit of depth. I stamped one of the sentiment included in the Plane and Simple Sentiment on the banner, and I stamped and colored the fox with the copics listed below.

For the sky, I did some really light ink blending, using Distress Oxides in Stormy Sky and Hickory Smoke. I just added a few clouds too (which comes from the previously released Island Paradise Die-namics. To complete the design, I stamped another sentiment with coordinted colors on the lower part of the card, I trimmed the colored panel to 4"x5.25" and I matted it with an A2 white panel. And here's the finished result!
